Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to edit video?

No. Motion Raw is built so you don’t have to edit. Upload the file, review (if you want) and export.

Does it work with any video?

Yes, as long as the voice is clear. It’s made for spoken video (to camera, video podcasts, training, talks…). Music-only or silent b-roll is not the use case.

Is it a subscription?

Yes. Three monthly plans (Basic €19, Pro €49, Business €99 + VAT). They include AI minutes. If you go over, extras are billed at month-end. Cancel anytime.

What are AI minutes?

Minutes of audio you send to Whisper (the input video), not the exported MP4. A 60-minute webinar you later cut to 8 still uses 60 minutes. OpenAI, Claude and Flux images are included. Suno and HeyGen are optional with your own API key.

Which operating system does it run on?

Motion Raw is a desktop app for Windows only (Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11, Intel/AMD and ARM). There is no Mac or Linux version. The encoder uses h264_nvenc or h264_qsv when the hardware allows it.

Do my videos get uploaded to a server?

Rendering (ffmpeg, templates) happens on your computer. Transcription, chat and Flux images go through our proxy (OpenAI, Anthropic, Black Forest Labs). You don’t paste those API keys.

Are there costs besides the plan?

The plan covers Whisper, Claude, GPT and Flux images up to your quota. Extra minutes at month-end. Optional and on you: Suno (music) and HeyGen (avatar ~$1/min).

Can I customise the templates?

Yes. You get 22 built-in templates and you can edit, duplicate or create new ones — even with an AI generator you describe what you want and it returns ready HTML/CSS/JS.
